I had the idea for a Mandala with animals included inside, however, this turned out the other way round, the Mandala is a flower, that has become part of the whole in a koi pond. Happy accidents abound when you go with the creative flow. This new peace was drawn freehand by me onto the glass surface of my iPad, in a software program called Procreate. These beautiful products, (and there are also a skirts, leggings, pencil cases, iPhone cases, iPad cases, pencil cases, canvas prints ready to hang, or loose prints ready to frame, etc) are all available from my online store, shipped worldwide. The mugs and scarves make wonderful Christmas gifts.
Koi are symbols of good luck, perserverance in adversity, they represent courage and also spiritual and personal growth, they are also a symbol of love and friendship. I have created a harmonic balance in this design, so it’s pleasing to look at and look into for a while, to give your busy mind a little relaxing break from time to time. There is a mandala that is in the shape of a lotus flower or lily which is also symbolic of purity and the whole image is to help guide you into an experience of nature through the visual imagery. The fish are also white, adding to the idea of purity. To me, they have the appearance of fine porcelain, and perhaps they are reflecting the moon above, bathing in light from the heavens. The dragonfly is significant, because after my father in law died, we were visited by many dragonflies, who seemed very curious and it appeared they were buzzing around and wanting to make connection rather than flying away. The represent change, maturity and deeper meaning. I love the idea that the dragonfly and nature in general and likened to powerful medicine for the mind and body. I often feel very refreshed and cleansed after time spent in nature, it has a way of giving me perspective, and helping let go and giving me a new starting place, resetting, recharging, renewing, refreshing.
This design is perfect for so many occasions, love, friendship, marriage, anniversaries, birthday, new beginnings, to encourage, bring hope, reassure, and is lovely for either him or her. Eventually, I will add two more of the same design with colour variations, one with tones of gold and another with lilac tones, I feel each different colour sending out different vibrations for the wellbeing of your mood/s, renewal and refreshment.
